Wether or not it indeed blocks scanners I do not know. However, the color, style, and size of the wallet make it completely worth the price. I haven’t even filled it up half way when my previous wallet I was busting at seems (literally) as for the “odor” mine smells like a leather wallet…so I don’t know what the other customers are referring to. I would definitely suggest this wallet to someone I know and everyone I ever meet if it indeed blocks scanners
